WHY DENTAL IMPLANTS?

Nothing is as good as your natural teeth, but dental implants can come close. Implants have been used for many years to replace missing teeth. The base of an implant is a screw made of titanium and other materials that are secured to the jaw bone.

A dental crown takes the place of a natural tooth and is secured to the top of the implant. Dr. Maan Alshoib’s highly trained and compassionate team at Smile Venue Dental may provide you with a dental solution that will change your life forever.

Dental Implants can reduce the discomfort associated with a lost tooth, as well as address difficulties with biting and chewing. Equally important for many people are the aesthetic benefits of dental implants.

DENTAL IMPLANTS CONSIST OF THREE PARTS:

1. Implant: A permanent implant is placed within the jawbone. This post acts as the root of your new tooth, which makes it stable, functional, and durable. Then, the jawbone will start the healing process and fuse with the post.

2. Abutment: Once healed, the abutment is attached which connects the crown to the implant.

3. Crown: The crown is the last piece of the puzzle to your new smile. With their artistic eyes, we will place a beautiful restoration, blending it with your natural smile. You’ll walk out of our office with a gorgeous, beautiful smile.

Commonly Asked Questions:

How much does a Dental Implant treatment cost?

As a guideline, the cost of an implant, abutment, and crown is typically in the $3,000-5,000 range.

But, you need to consider that people are unique so also, your costs will vary based on the unique circumstances of your case.

A dental implant or the "tooth root" of this procedure, can be anywhere between $1,000 to $3,000. But the dental implant is only one piece of the cake.

Other costs that should be factored in are the abutment which is usually about $300 to $500, and the crown which is usually $1,000 to $2,000.

How long does Dental Implant treatment take?

From start to finish, the dental implant procedure will likely take between three and nine months.

The exact duration of the treatment depends on your dental characteristics, including if you’ve suffered from bone recession or gum disease.

The implant procedure your dentist uses also impacts the length of time necessary to complete this procedure.

Dental implants seem like a large time commitment, but many patients find that having healthy and strong dentition for life, following the procedure, is well worth the wait.

Does my insurance cover Dental Implant treatment?

The good news is most dental insurance providers cover some of the costs for dental implants. Insurance doesn’t typically cover all the expenses so you’re probably still going to have to put some money aside before you can schedule your dental implant procedure, but certainly not as much as you would if you didn’t have insurance.

Additionally, depending on your plan, it may cover your consultation and partially cover the implant restorations.

We will develop your personalized treatment plan after your consultation, which will include the cost, your treatment time, and which parts of the procedure will be covered by your dental insurance

Every smile is unique. So is every budget. Cost examples.

Dental implants cost is different for every patient because people are unique, and also insurance coverage and chosen time period are distinct.

Ex. 1: John pays $50/mo for 36 months

Doctor quote: $3,400

Insurance covers: -$1,600

Remaining balance: $1,800

Ex.2: Mary pays $125/mo for 24 months

Doctor quote: $4,800

Insurance covers: -$1,800

Remaining balance: $3,000

Ex.3: Lucy pays $200/mo for 24 months

Doctor quote: $7,100

Insurance covers: -$2,300

Remaining balance: $4,800

Many of our patients take advantage of our ability to offer in-house financing, which gives them the ability to pay for their dental implants with a series of affordable monthly installments.

What is the Dental Implant treatment process?

Implant treatment starts with a consultation with Dr. Maan Alshoib.

We will first do a comprehensive examination to determine the condition of your jawbone and the best dental implant procedure. This initial evaluation includes X-rays, taking impressions, and matching the color of your teeth to make your implant look as natural as possible.

We will determine how many teeth you want to replace with implants, to involve other dental specialists, like periodontists.

Then we will insert the implant, the jawbone will begin to grow around the implant, it can take anywhere from 3 to 9 months.

Afterward, we will place an abutment on top of the implant. After your gums heal, we will make your artificial tooth or crown.

Why can't I just get dentures instead?

As the patient, you will always have the final say on what dental procedure you want to be done. However, we do have to tell you all of the pros and cons of each treatment type.

While regular dentures may be more inexpensive upfront, they are a terrible tooth replacement option long term.

Dentures must be removed and thoroughly cleaned regularly. Many patients find the cleaning of cups and adhesives undesirable because they are messy and expensive.

Certain foods cannot be eaten with dentures. Examples include caramel, apples, and corn on the cob.

The majority of regular denture patients turn out to hate their new teeth months later because they cause pain & discomfort.

Additionally, regular dentures do not preserve the jaw bone as implants do.

What makes Dental Implants so great?

Dental implants are the best way of replacing teeth because they utilize titanium.

Titanium implants cannot decay and they fuse with the patient's bone.

Once an implant is placed, the patient's bone "takes" the placement biologically, and it becomes a lifelong lasting root for a crown, bridge, or full arch.

Another benefit of implants is that they preserve the jaw bone and

prevent it from dwindling away.

Choosing dental implants is a big decision. They may be expensive, but the success rate is about 95 percent.

Is Dental Implant treatment right for me?

More people now qualify for dental implants than ever before, thanks to advancements in implant dentistry such as 3D imaging, virtual implant design, and guided implant placement.

Patients who are missing a single tooth, several teeth, or a full set of teeth are good candidates for dental implants.

If you are looking for long-term tooth restoration that closely resembles the feel, function, and appearance of natural teeth, implants are perfect.

Moreover, implants don't get cavities and help people with dry mouth and denture irritation.

How painful is getting a Dental Implant?

While discomfort varies from person to person, most people report that getting their dental implant was much less painful than they expected.

The dentist will administer an anesthetic to you during the surgical dental implant procedure, so you should experience little to no discomfort.

They'll use gentle techniques, and because the environment is clean, there's little risk of infection. If you follow the dentist's post-operative instructions and take the antibiotics prescribed, you should have little discomfort. Your dentist will most likely prescribe you pain medication as well, but many people do not take it.

Boost Your Confidence Today

Many people avoid going to the dentist and routine dental care due to fear, essentially neglecting their teeth and dental hygiene. As a result, they are more likely to develop dental problems such as tooth decay and gum disease. When these issues are ignored, they can worsen, become more difficult to treat and necessitate more extensive dental solutions. This can lead to more trips to the dentist, more invasive dental surgery, and an increase in pre-existing anxiety.

What is Dental Implant Treatment?

Dental implants are tooth roots that are replaced. Implants serve as a solid foundation for either fixed (permanent) or removable replacement teeth that are custom-made to match your natural teeth. Dental implants offer a long-lasting and discreet choice of treatment for replacing teeth.

A dental implant is a titanium screw that is inserted directly into your jawbone to replace a missing tooth root. After it is fitted, the bone surrounding your implant will gradually fuse to it, firmly anchoring it in place. A false tooth (a crown or denture) is then fitted to the top of the implant (the abutment), giving your smile a natural appearance.

Advantages of Dental Implants:

Improved appearance (look and feel like your own teeth)

Improved speech (implants allow you to speak without the worry that teeth might slip)

Improved comfort (implants eliminate the discomfort of removable dentures)

Improved ability to chew (dental implants function like your own teeth vs. sliding dentures)

Improved self-esteem (give you back your smile and help you feel better about yourself)

Improved oral health (implants allow easier access between teeth, improving oral hygiene)

Improved durability (implants are very durable and will last many years, even a lifetime)

Why Implants?

Dental Implants can achieve the following:

☑️ Replace one or more teeth without affecting bordering teeth

☑️ Support a bridge and eliminate the need for a removable partial denture

☑️ Provide support for a denture, making it more comfortable and secure

☑️ As with any dental procedure, at-home oral care and regular visits to your dentist are necessary to keep your implant in place for many years.

☑️ After dental implant treatment, we will develop a care plan just for you to ensure your implants, teeth, and gums remain healthy for a very long time.

Treatments Offered Based On Your Needs:

👉 Single Dental or Multiple Teeth Implants - A single tooth implant is an ideal solution for individuals who are missing individual teeth.

👉 All-On-4™ & All-On-6™ Treatment - aka "Teeth In A Day Procedure" - Is a series of 4-6 dental implants that are used to restore an entire arch of missing teeth. Once these implants have been placed and have healed, a set of permanent or removable implant-supported dentures clip onto the implants.

👉 Implant-Retained Bridges - A solution used when several teeth are missing in a row, or when you don’t have enough healthy teeth to support a traditional dental bridge.

👉 Implant Retained Dentures - aka "Upper & Lower OverDentures" - A dental implant hybrid where a denture is secured in place by using two or more dental implants. These dentures may be removed by the patient.

All-On-4™ or All-On-6™ Dental Implant Procedures:

👉 An All-On-4™/All-on-6™ dental procedure aims to replace an entire dental arch. It involves the placement of dental implants in the jawbone, which are then used to support a dental prosthesis, typically dentures.

This innovative procedure gives patients with extensive tooth loss the chance to regain their smile and oral function with a permanent solution. All-on-4/All-on-6 utilizes four/six carefully positioned dental implants to support a complete set of replacement teeth.

The All-on-4/All-on-6 procedure is a highly effective method for treating extensive tooth loss, and it provides patients with numerous advantages. Listed below are some of the benefits of this treatment:

☑️ This is a minimally invasive technique: The All-on-4 procedure is a one-day, minimally invasive surgical procedure. This allows patients to leave the office with a brand-new set of teeth after a single visit.

☑️ It provides greater comfort than conventional dentures: All-on-4 dental implants are designed to fuse with the jawbone, creating a stable and comfortable foundation for your replacement teeth, unlike traditional dentures. Thus, patients can confidently eat and speak without worrying about their teeth shifting or slipping.

☑️ It is simple to maintain: Similar to natural teeth, All-on-4 dental implants are simple to maintain. Patients can brush and floss their replacement teeth the same way they would their natural teeth, making maintenance much simpler than with conventional dentures.

☑️ It is a permanent solution: With proper care, All-on-4 implants can last a lifetime if properly maintained. This allows patients to enjoy their new smile without having to worry about frequent replacements or repairs.

Typically, the All-on-4/All-on-6 procedure consists of three steps:

Evaluation and Treatment Planning: Your dentist will conduct a thorough evaluation as the initial step of the All-on-4/All-on-6 procedure. During this phase, your dentist will take X-rays and dental impressions to determine if you are a suitable candidate for the procedure. In addition, they will tailor a treatment plan to your particular needs.

Implant Placement: Implant placement is the second step of the All-on-4/All-on-6 procedure. This entails surgically implanting four dental implants into the jawbone to support your replacement teeth. Implants are strategically placed to provide maximum stability and support for your replacement teeth.

Attachment of Replacement Teeth: The All-on-4/All-on-6 procedure concludes with the attachment of your replacement teeth. Your dentist will affix a dental prosthesis to your implants that is customized to resemble your natural teeth and complement your facial features.

Patients can anticipate experiencing some soreness and discomfort following the procedure, but this can typically be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers. It is essential to carefully adhere to our dentist's post-operative instructions to ensure proper healing and optimal outcomes.

All-on-4/All-on-6 is an extremely effective treatment for patients with extensive tooth loss. It provides a permanent, painless, and durable solution that can restore your smile and quality of life.

If you are contemplating the All-on-4/All-on-6's procedure, it is essential that you consult with our team of experienced dentists who specialize in this treatment. We are able to assess your unique requirements and develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your specific situation.

In addition to its many advantages, the All-on-4/All-on-6 procedure offers patients with extensive tooth loss a cost-effective solution. While the initial cost of the procedure may be higher than traditional dentures, the long-term benefits and reduced need for frequent replacements or repairs can make it a more cost-effective option in the long run.

Common Dental Problems Resolved By Dental Implants

You Have A Severely Cracked Tooth or a Broken Tooth

What are cracked or broken teeth?

A dental implant may be the solution if you have a cracked or broken tooth that cannot be repaired.

While dentists usually try to save as much of the natural structure of a tooth as possible, if the tooth is too damaged to save, a tooth extraction followed by an implant to replace it once the site has healed may be the best option.

Can Dental Implants Fix a Cracked Tooth or a Broken Tooth?

Yes, Dental Implants can fix a cracked tooth or a broken tooth. We can show you what Implant treatment can do for you.

You are Missing One or More of Your Natural Teeth

What are missing teeth?

Gaps in your smile caused by missing teeth can be embarrassing and make you feel self-conscious about your smile or even talking or eating in public. Gaps caused by missing teeth can cause teeth to shift, causing your bite to become unstable.

You Are Starting to Experience Bone Loss (in the Jaw Area)

What is bone loss?

It is not widely known that missing teeth cause deterioration of your jaw bone tissue, but dental implants can actually promote the growth of new healthy bone tissue.

The implant's root, which is screwed directly into the jawbone and functions exactly like a natural root. Implant roots are made of titanium or zirconium, which naturally bond with existing bone tissue in a process known as osseointegration, which stimulates new bone growth and prevents deterioration.

You Have A Sunken-in Look to Your Facial Appearance

What is a sunken-in look appearance?

Have you ever noticed how some denture wearers' mouths appear sunken-in or caved-in? This is a common issue for these people as they get older.

Dentures, unlike implants, do not stimulate the growth of new bone tissue, so the bone continues to deteriorate over time, resulting in mouth regression.

Dental implants address this issue by stimulating bone growth in the jaw area surrounding the implant. We can show you what Implant treatment can do for you.

You Have A Tooth That Cannot Be Saved

Read why our patients love us and why many of them have stayed with us for years.

"Today was my first appointment at Smile Venue Dental with Dr. Maan. I was immediately impressed from the very first callback from Ms. Evelyn who works in the front office. She is so sweet and caring and makes setting an appointment super easy. As soon as I walked into the office I was impressed and greeted and made sure I was ok and offered something to drink.

Shortly after, I was called back for my appointment. I was immediately greeted by Dr. Maan which is something you NEVER see now. He answered all of my questions and went over all the different treatment options I was looking into when it came to my teeth. I am so glad I chose to stay in the USA and see a doctor who cares about the health of my teeth first and foremost, and then we will work on the aesthetics after my teeth are fully cleaned and my gums are healed. All the doctors I have encountered overseas just want your money no matter how bad your gums are or the shape of your current teeth.

Ms. Coralys is a wonderful dental assistant and I can not say enough good things about her. She is so sweet and so caring. The whole office staff is amazing.

Ms. Yeimis is the dental hygienist and she is the one who did my deep cleaning. She did amazing and always checked to make sure I was doing ok, as well as Dr. Maan came in to make sure I was comfortable and not in any pain.

When I saw the after pics of my teeth I literally cried. My teeth look 1,000 times better and I am so happy that I saw his ad on Facebook. It was well worth traveling 45 minutes to his office in Tampa to be treated by the best!! If you need a dentist who truly cares about you, and considers you a patient and not just a number, definitely check them out!! I will recommend anyone and everyone to Smile Dental Design. They do it ALL.

Thanks again, you have a patient for life! I WILL BE GETTING ANY AND ALL WORK FROM SMILE VENUE DENTAL, I COULD NOT BE ANY HAPPIER THAN I AM NOW! Thank you for everything."

- LESS DISCOMFORT FOR YOU

- TIME EFFICIENCY

- FASTER DIAGNOSIS FOR YOU

INTRAORAL SCANNER is done with one of the latest intraoral scanning technologies available and allows us to digitally produce and save 3D images of our patient’s teeth.

Compared to traditional impressions that use gooey materials, this method is more convenient, less messy, and offers high precision when fabricating dental crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, or onlays.

- REDUCES PAIN PROCEDURES

- REDUCES DENTAL ANXIETY

- LOWER CHANCE OF INFECTION

LASER DENTISTRY (Waterlase iplus) - For patients who do not look forward to needles, drilling, or numbness, Laser Dentistry may be the right choice.

Unlike with the dental drill, with laser dentistry there is no heat or vibration, making the procedure quite comfortable for most patients. For soft tissue (surgical) procedures it eliminates the need for suturing and healing is much faster.

The versatile and gentle combination of laser energy and water has the power to relieve dental anxiety at the source – for you, our patient.

Lasers can be used to diagnose cavities. They can find hidden decay in teeth in the early stages, and in some cases, the decay can be reversed through hygiene and fluoride treatment and may never need filling.

- ACCURACY OF DETECTING CARIES

- NON-INVASIVE METHOD

DIAGNOdent LASER CARIES - Over 90% accurate in detecting lesions not detectable with an explorer or bitewing X-rays. The DIAGNOdent is an accurate, reliable, and non-invasive method to aid in caries detection.

Children and adolescents, in particular, have fissure caries in nearly 80% of all cases which can be detected more easily with DIAGOdent.

90 % of caries are within the interproximal area: Fissure caries, proximal caries, and calculus are detected in good time, resulting in fewer subsequent interventions.

- DENTAL RESTORATION IS ALMOST LIKE THE NATURAL TOOTH

- REDUCES YOUR NUMBER OF VISITS

CAD/CAM technology - It offers dental crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, or onlays that are designed and produced digitally, often time without any human hand touching the final restoration. This highly precise process is completed by our digital impression technology with our intraoral scanner and electronic shade measurement & matching – resulting in a final restoration that looks and feels almost like the natural tooth.

Dr. Maan Alshoib uses this technology to produce customized dental crowns in-house. It reduces your number of office visits and eliminates the need for temporaries which are used when dental crowns are created in a lab.

- FULL DIAGNOSIS OF YOUR DENTAL HEALTH

- INCREASED ACCURACY OF YOUR DIAGNOSIS AND ASSESS ANY DAMAGES

DIGITAL IMAGING - Dr. Maan chooses carefully which and when radiographs are taken. There are many guidelines that we follow. Radiographs allow us to see everything we cannot see with our own eyes.

Radiographs enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level, and analyze the health of your bone. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.

Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal.

- PRECISION OF PATIENT CARE

- LESS INCONVENIENCE

- IT FINDS THE BEST IMPLANT SIZE AND PLACEMENT USING DIGITAL SIMULATION

3D DENTAL PRINTING - 3D printing technology allows us to produce highly precise models of patient’s teeth, implant digital guides, occlusal guards / bite guards, orthodontic retainers and aligners, and many more. All these 3D printed products integrate with our latest digital technology of intraoral scanning, implant digital planning, orthodontic digital simulation, and many more.

Surgical implant guides allow us to first simulate the actual implant procedure digitally, on a computer, in order to determine if implant placement is possible and if so, to find out the best implant size and placement for the most appropriate outcome.

All this process is done before the actual surgery, and once we print the implant guide, we are able to replicate the computer simulation in the clinical setting, during the actual implant surgery.
